Our Ideal Candidate
- Undergraduate Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent;
- Eligibility for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC);
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Design and project management experience in municipal servicing infrastructure, road design and site grading;
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a P.Eng.;
- Experience in the Central Vancouver Island market would be considered an asset.
Your Work with Us
- Project Design Engineer/Project Manager for municipal infrastructure, commercial, industrial and residential developments;
- Coordination of surveyor, design technologist, sub-consultants and third party utilities to achieve efficient preparation of detailed design drawings to approval by relevant regulatory bodies;
- Coordination and attendance at meetings with Clients, Contractors, City and Provincial regulatory agents;
- Preparation of design calculations and various design reports relating to stormwater management, sanitary sewer and water systems as required to support design preparation and review by regulatory bodies;
- Preparation of schedules of quantities and construction cost estimates;
- Preparation of tender and contract documents;
- Project management including review of progress claims, preparation of progress certificates and management of lien holdbacks;
- Preparation of fee proposals for new projects;
- Clear communication both verbally and in writing with Clients, Contractors and regulatory authorities.
