Born in Nanaimo, and raised in Smithers, B.C., Jamie moved to the Island in 1991 and entered the civil engineering technology program at Camosun College in 1996. Since graduation, Jamie has worked for consulting engineering firms in Nanaimo, Victoria, and Florida. Jamie has completed commercial, industrial, municipal and private development projects all over the island from the Cape Scott Wind Farm in Port Hardy to the Belmont Market Commercial Centre in Langford along with projects in northern British Columbia, Northwest Territories, Alaska, Florida, Central and South America. Jamie joined Newcastle Engineering in the fall of 2023 as a senior designer to provide mentorship and help train the next generation of Newcastle employees through his local knowledge and varied experience.
In his free time, Jamie enjoys fishing, golfing, camping, and travelling the world.
