Born and raised in Nanaimo, Kailen joined the team after years of experience in construction and construction management. With a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Victoria, he loves designing projects to serve our community, solving problems, and creating relationships. When not working, he enjoys mountain biking and spending time with his family.

Interesting fact about Kailen: his grandfather, Frank Ney, was the mayor of Nanaimo for 20 years and was behind many of the developments in town which is possibly where his love in development came from!
