Born and raised in Nanaimo, Mike is one of the founding members of Newcastle Engineering Ltd. Graduating in 1984 from BCIT with a diploma of Technology in Surveying, Mike worked for Ministry of Highways during construction of various portions of the Coquihalla Highway. In 1987 Mike joined Duncan Associates Engineering, returning to Nanaimo before transitioning into the ID Group. He enjoys all sports baseball, hockey, football, fishing and hiking. Mike’s family roots are well established in Nanaimo, Ladysmith and Lantzville dating back to the early days of coal mining.
