GO BACK

Maxie was born in Heidelberg, Germany. She discovered her love for the island in 2013 while attending a senior high school year in Nanaimo.

Back home she first earnt a degree as a hotel management assistant and then went back to school to study civil engineering in Darmstadt, Germany.
After completing her degree, she made the move back to Nanaimo and became a part of the Newcastle Engineering Team as an EIT. She loves the
challenges that come with working in civil engineering and mastering them in her second language.

When not at work she enjoys traveling the world and learning about new cultures.
After work you can find her enjoying the outdoors or cooking for friends and family.
